Conor McGregor more interested in ring girl during Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz fight

UFC legend McGregor was clearly watching Paul vs Diaz but he was more interested in rapper Saweetie, who was on ring girl duty for the evening

Conor McGregor paid more attention to ring girl Saweetie than Jake Paul and Nate Diaz's boxing fight.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul won a unanimous decision against Diaz after 10 rounds when they met at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on Saturday night. Paul got back in the win column following his first boxing loss to Love Island star Tommy Fury in February whilst Diaz was making his professional ring debut on the night after parting ways with the UFC last September.

McGregor was watching the event take place but refused to acknowledge the fight between Paul and Diaz, as the former two-weight UFC champion was seemingly more interested in Saweetie. The American rapper was on ring girl duty for the night and her presence captured the attention of McGregor as he tweeted: "F*** this, sweetie what's up."

Fans were quick to catch on to McGregor's tweet as one tweet read: "I hear it, Saweetie making married men lose their minds." A second user related to McGregor's post by replying: "I seen her looking fine at ring side and thought the exact same thing" with a similar tweet reading: "I swear to god i’m staring at Saweetie the whole time.. Conor knows what's up!"

McGregor made his feelings clear about Paul vs Diaz the day before the fight as he tweeted: "Regardless of that nonsense match me and Nate will be completing the trilogy." The Irishman said he plans to fight and beat Justin Gaethje to win the UFC's 'BMF' title so it can be on the line for his third fight against Diaz, adding: "I am going to go grab that BMF belt right quick for us to compete for it in the trilogy."

Paul has been calling for a fight against McGregor for years but seemingly dismissed the big-money fight in his post-fight press conference after beating Diaz. 'The Problem Child' wants to rematch Diaz in MMA and also avenge his loss to Fury, who is scheduled to fight Paul's bitter YouTube rival KSI in October.

McGregor has paid little attention to any of Paul's past call-outs but he was forced to eat his words after backing Diaz to hand the YouTuber his second consecutive defeat. “I fancy him [Diaz] for it, to be honest," McGregor told Matchroom Boxing. "The man’s a bit windy. The other cat’s a bit windy. He’s a donkey. The guy’s a donkey, but the donkey has a kick as well. So you just got to be worried about that.”
